Winners of the 2021 Research Symposium revealed

Tuesday 08, Mar 2022

Following a successful Virtual Research Symposium last December, with a fascinating range of speakers and topics, we are thrilled to announce the winners of two awards, as selected by the symposium attendees.

The Most Engaging Paper (General Category) is awarded to:

Associate Professor Katharina Wolf (Curtin University) and Associate Professor Petra Theunissen (Auckland University of Technology) for their paper titled:

‘My body – my choice’: Exploring notions of human rights and freedom of expression in the context of a global pandemic

The winners of this award will receive a copy of Jim Mahoney’s new book The Strategic Communication Imperative, published by Routledge.

The Most Engaging Paper (HDR Category) is awarded to:

Kristoff Adelbert (University of Technology Sydney) for his paper titled:

‘Non-engagement by stealth’: An analysis of engagement by the Central Coast Council

The winner of this award will receive a copy of Jane Johnson and Leanne Glenny’s book Strategic Communication: Public relations at work, published by Routledge.

Our congratulations go to all the speakers as we look forward to an equally engaging 2022 Symposium.
